Visit Antwerp, the Belgian port and diamond city with its inner-city zoo, or stroll through the old town of Den Bosch to the imposing cathedral. The European city of Maastricht attracts visitors with its Maas promenade, old town, Sint Jans Church, Bonnefanten Museum and more. In Aachen, Roman excavations, Charlemagne's World Heritage Cathedral and the thermal baths await. Near Aachen you will find the Dreiländereck with its observation tower. Here you can step from the Netherlands to Germany and on to Belgium - and back again just as quickly.
The archaeological open-air museum "Historisch Openluchtmuseum Eindhoven" brings three epochs to life, such as the Iron Age village of Eversham, an early medieval farm and the High Medieval town of Endehoven. At weekends and during the school holidays, actors in historical costume demonstrate typical activities such as grinding grain, making fire, baking bread and blacksmithing. Once a year in spring, a large winkinger market is held. Big and small technology fans visit the Eindhoven DAF Automobile Museum or travel virtually into the future at the Philips Museum.
