In the middle of the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony, about 2 km from the beautiful Heath village of Wietzendorf, you will find one of the most beautiful campsites in Germany. Südsee-Camp is surrounded by forests and flowering meadows and offers a true holiday paradise with its 3.5 hectare lake and long inviting sandy beach. Whether camping or in a rented caravan, chalet or holiday home - in the Lüneburg Heath at Südsee-Camp you will find an outstanding and varied range of accommodation. Sommarbÿ, our idyllic holiday home village, also offers a comfortable holiday for large families.
The campsite facilities and leisure activities are far above the usual standard
The inviting bathing lake of our five-star campsite creates a South Seas atmosphere in the heath landscape with its sandy beach and a mysterious pirate ship. Our year-round activities offer something for everyone - children's activities, creative studio, sports, fitness, cycling tours and evening events. The lake, the cyclo-cross course, the ice skating rink, the high ropes course, several large playgrounds and our subtropical play and fun pool with waves and white-water canal offer varied holiday fun. Riding enthusiasts can indulge their passion in the nearby riding stables. The surrounding area also has a lot to offer, the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park, the cities of Hamburg, Hanover, Bremen, Lüneburg, Celle or the many leisure and animal parks.

Surroundings Südsee-Camp
Lüneburg Heath
From Südsee-Camp in Wietzendorf you can reach exciting day trip destinations for the whole family: look forward to a day full of action at Heide-Park Soltau or an exciting safari at Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen. Animal fans explore the Walsrode World Bird Park or the Lüneburg Heath Zoo. Skiing and tobogganing fun is offered by the Snow-Dome Bispingen. Young and old race against each other on the neighbouring Ralf Schumacher karting track. Take a leisurely ride in a horse-drawn carriage, on a bicycle or in hiking boots through the Lüneburg Heath, which blossoms in glorious purple in midsummer and late summer.
Trips to Celle, Soltau, Lüneburg, Hanover and Hamburg
If you love shopping, it's worth taking a stroll through the castle and half-timbered town of Celle or the Designer Outlet Soltau. If you haven't found the right shoes, enjoy the tickle under your feet at the barefoot park in Egestorf. Many other excursion destinations include the historic salt city of Lüneburg and Hamburg with its Elbphilharmonie, harbour tour, Michel and Outer Alster, Miniature Wonderland and Hagenbeck's zoo. The baroque Herrenhausen Gardens or the Adventure Zoo in Hanover are also worth a visit.
